SDNY COURTHOUSE, Aug 14 – Malcolm Hogue was presented in Federal court on August 14 and charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition - a single 9mm FC Luger shell casing.
It was before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag Court.
Looking back into the unsealed complaint, it described Hogue firing four shots on June 18, 2023 into a crowd in front of 1409 Webster Avenue in The Bronx, by a Blink Fitness, and hitting a victim in the ankle.
He was wearing a white t-shirt and a blue cap featuring a Toronto Blue Jays emblem. He was identified by four tattoos, each in the shape of a star, on his right forearm.
Previously, Hogue was convicted of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree in The Bronx. On August 14, he was detained.
The case is US v. Hogue, 23-mj-5972 (Parker)
