SDNY EXCLUSIVE, February 22 – After the president of Honduras' brother Tony Hernandez was convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to life plus thirty years, on April 21, 2022 the ex-president himself, Juan Orlando Hernandez, was extradited to the United States.

Alex Ardon: The Salgueros, El Chapo, Tony, Primo, Mario Calix, Melvin Pinto and I- AUSA: Who is Mario Calix? Alex Ardon: He worked with Tony. AUSA: And Melvin Pinto? Ardon: A worker of mine. 

AUSA: What did Tony tell Chapo? Alex Ardon: That if Juan Orlando won, he could help with the drug trafficking.

AUSA: What did Chapo over Tony?

Alex Ardon: One million US dollars for the campaign. Tony Hernandez said he had to speak with his brother to see  Alex Ardon: Later Tony Hernandez told me that he had spoken with his brother Juan Orlando and that yes they would accept the $1 million from El Chapo. I told Don Amado.

AUSA: Did you meet with Chapo again? Alex Ardon: Yes, at my mother's property. The same group.  Alex Ardon: El Chapo gave $1 million to Tony Hernandez. Alex Ardon: The Valles were making death threats to mayors in El Copan. AUSA: What did you do? Ardon: I spoke with JOH. AUSA: Where? Ardon: Santa Rosa. AUSA: What did you tell JOH? Ardon: Valles were threatening candidates from the National Party 

Alex Ardon: JOH told me he was going to put them in jail. AUSA: What else did you ask JOH? Ardon: I told JOH to not tell Tony Hernandez about this conversation AUSA: Why? Ardon: Tony could tell it to the Valles. AUSA: What did JOH say? Ardon: He said fine, no Tony

 AUSA: Then when? Alex Ardon: After the Valles went down, and were extradited, Tony told me the Valles had been extradited because they had tried to kill JOH. AUSA: Did you tell Tony you had asked to capture the Valles? Ardon: No.

AUSA: ¿Entonces cuándo? Alex Ardon: Después de que los Valle cayeron y fueron extraditados, Tony me dijo que los Valle habían sido extraditados porque habían intentado matar a JOH. AUSA: ¿Le dijiste a Tony que habías pedido capturar a los Valle? Ardón: No.
