100 CENTRE STREET, Nov 19 – In the Daniel Penny trial on November 19, his character witness were cross examined about "angry" motorcyle rides, social media selfies with a gun, and "toxic masculinity." Inner City Press was there, from the thread

... Judge: Cross. ADA: On your Facebook 12 days after Mr. Penny was charged, you called on Marine brothers to ride to New York... You were going to ride your motorcycle as an angry protest against our state, right?

Penny's lawyer Kenniff: Objection! Protest against our state?

Judge: Overruled, I'll allow it...

ADA: April 6, 2023, you wrote, Men, be toxically masculine again

Next witness is Gunnery Sergeant Dunchie

Penny's lawyer Kenniff: To succeed in the Marines did Danny have to treat people equally? ADA: Objection! Judge: I'll allow it.

Dunchie: Absolutely.

 Judge: Cross?

ADA 2: You flew here from Texas on Mr. Penny's dime? Dunchie: From Vermont. ADA 2: Your user name on TikTok is "the Dunch LOL" - and you feature a weapon you own there? Dunchie: Yes.

ADA 2: A gun in a fanny pack - you point it at the camera?

Penny's lawyer Kenniff: Objection! Judge: I'll allow it. Dunchie: Yes. Judge: Cross Kenniff: The attitude to guns is different in Texas than NY? Dunchie: Definitely. Kenniff: Are you a criminal? Dunchie: No.
