100 CENTRE STREET, Nov 19 – In the Daniel Penny trial on November 21, his medical expert Doctor Chandru testified that choke hold was not the cause of Jordan Neely's death. Inner City Press was there, from the thread

Penny's lawyer Raiser: Doctor, did you rule out the choke hold as the cause of death of Jordan Neely?

Penny's medical expert Chandru: I did

Raiser: If a person is not rendered unconscious by the chokehold, it can't be the cause of death, right? Penny's medical expert: Yes

Penny's lawyer Raiser: How does sickle cell crisis death work? Penny's medical expert: The cells are starved of oxygen Raiser: How is it different from a chokehold death? Penny's medical expert: Sickle cell crisis is an internal phenomenon in the body.

Penny's lawyer Raiser: Let's do some hypos - a person is high on K2, and psychotic, and is restrained and dies. Also, a person is in a sickling crisis and is restrained and dies. Are these chokehold deaths? Penny's medical examiner: No.

Penny's medical expert: Doctor Harris was just speculating.

Penny's lawer Raiser: Is that an appropriate way to determine a cause of death? Penny's medical expert: No.

[Vasquez video shown again]

Penny's examiner: Tongue choke is not a possible cause of death

 Judge: We'll break
